Year One
Well, here we are. Sean has hit the one year mark.
Happy first birthday, son!
In a previous post, I made a few resolutions. Let’s see how close I kept to my resolutions:
“Baby pics as holiday cards” – So far so good. We’ve had one holiday season, and we included a pic of Sean with the card. Only around 17 or so more holidays to worry about…
“Age in months” – Working hard to keep this one. I’ve started to use “a year” early, as in “almost a year”. Now the test is to not use months after August or so.
“Absurd Overprotection” – We haven’t gotten nuts on this. We have a gate in front of the more dangerous cellar stairs. We still have all the same furniture, albeit with some soft foam on the corners as Sean has learned to pull up. Though I get nervous when he takes a little tumble and bumps his head, but some decent vigilance has kept Sean out of harm’s way.
Its been a long year. So why does it seem like yesterday I was writing about my newborn boy? Time is funny.
